ELF HD Blush
ELF has been releasing some pretty awesome stuff for years now. One of their new releases is their liquid HD blush. Overall, I think the product is good, especially for the price. It's part of ELF's Studio line, which makes it a mere $3. Final rating? 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.
The product claims:
Rich and creamy HD Blush naturally sculpts and highlights the cheekbones for a soft-focus effect that is great for everyday use. The Vitamin E enriched formula conditions and hydrates the skin for a healthy, radiant glow. Velvety soft, lightweight and highly pigmented color creates a long-lasting result for all day wear.
I agree with most of their claim, but there are a couple flaws. First off, I didn't really notice any high lighting or sculpting effects. That's ok with me, I don't expect a product to do a million things; I'd rather it just do one or two things really well. The color is, indeed, very pigmented. A little (and I'm talking a micro-drop) goes a looong way. Which is good, but there's where one problem lies. You have to blend asap, and put a little effort into it. It does blend out ok, but not as easily as most cream or powder blushes. It is very easy to get too much product until you have a little experience with it.
I have been using this blush for several days, and after I got the hang of using it, it has become a must, and for one big reason: staying power! Most blushes tend to fade a little throughout the day, which is no good for those of us that want a healthy, rosy-cheeked appearance and want it to last. But this blush stays put, which makes it a favorite. I used to love Clinique's powder blushes because they seemed to stay put a little better, but ELF's HD blush has knocked them out of running. And you can't beat the price.
If you like a little more multi-tone to your complexion, I recommend going back in with a powder blush that is either a slightly different shade or one that has multiple colors that you can swirl your brush in. Then blend it all together. Sweep on a highlight, and you're good to go! A rosy cheek that will last all day is great, especially for us fair-skinned gals. And with winter here, it's definitely a win. :-)

Until next time, Awesome-Sauces!
